Camera Ratings
Detection Range: 12/20
The detection range is solid but could be more consistent. We also rarely see a trigger past 50-60 feet.
Speed: 8/10
The 0.4 seconds trigger speed is almost instant, and the video mode has no significant delay, which is common with many cheaper cameras.
Accuracy: 6/10
Among the three units we currently have, two cameras took excessive false trigger pictures caused by even a mild wind during summer's warmer temperatures. Therefore, we had to relocate those cameras to wooded locations.
Battery Life: 9/10
The battery life of the GMAX32 is excellent, and we have seen even alkaline batteries last over a year.
Daylight Images: 7/10
Daytime images are very good, but the colors could have just a bit more vibrance and slightly less ISO grain.
Lowlight Images: 6/10
Lowlight images are acceptable, but most pictures of moving animals are slightly out of focus.
Night Images: 7/10
The GMAX32 is doing a fine job at night, and most pictures and videos are pretty good.
Design: 12/20
The GMAX32 camera setup is straightforward, but the screen is small and does not allow a preview of captured images. The memory card slot is hard to access, but the more critical issue is the memory size limitation. While the memory size printed on the box is 512GB, the camera will only accept 32GB memory cards. This limitation is a significant issue if you wish to take high-definition videos at a busy location without changing the memory card every few days. The camera also shows errors and would not accept brand name memory cards we usually use in other cameras. The provided strap is wide, but the silver color is somewhat reflective and makes the camera very noticeable. The door latch can be secured with a python cable lock.
Verdict: 67/100
Overall, the Stealth Cam GMAX 32 trail camera has excellent features like the nine-picture burst with the option to set the delay between pictures. However, the daylight images are just average, and the cameras are prone to false triggers. The memory card limitations are also a deal-breaker, so we only use GMAX 32 cameras in picture mode. The listed $130.00 MSRP price tag is high, but Stealth Cam models are often available at deep discounts, and this unit may be worth it if you find one of those 50% off deals.

Anonymous 1/10
I've purchase 3 of these Stealth Cams and ended up returning the 2 of them because they both stop taking pictures when the weather turns cold.
