Intro
The Browning Strike Force Full HD is a compact trail camera model from the sub-micro series. The camera can record up to two minutes of daytime and 20 seconds of B&W nighttime videos in 1080p full HD. In picture mode, the Strike Force Full HD game camera can take up to eight multi-shot rapid-fire 22 MP pictures. The trigger speed is adjustable and will detect up to 80 feet. As with all sub-micro cameras from Browning, the Strike Force Full HD only needs six AA batteries, and the battery level metering is compatible with alkaline, lithium, and rechargeable NiMH batteries.

Camera Ratings
Detection Range: 10/20
Compared to other Browning trail cameras, this model has a limited detection range of only 40-50 feet max even when set to 80 feet Motion Detection option.
Speed: 6/10
While the Strike Force Full HD camera trigger speed is listed at only 0.135 seconds, we often see animals very close to the camera before the camera recording is triggered.

Accuracy: 7/10
The trigger accuracy is reasonably good, and we don't see too many false triggers.
Battery Life: 7/10
The battery life is good, but having only six batteries will require more frequent battery swaps.
Daylight Images: 2/10
Unfortunately, the daytime images are disappointing. All pictures and videos are incredibly grainy, even under good lighting. Please see the ORIGINAL FILES download option on this page.

Lowlight Images: 3/10
Like other game cameras, the Strike Force Full HD will switch from full-color mode to black & white mode under low light and at night. Lowlight black and white videos are a little better than daylight but still considerably grainy.

Night Images: 5/10
Unlike the Dark Ops version, equipped with an invisible black flash, the Strike Force model has a traditional IR illumination. While the red IR is more powerful, it is visible to humans and may spook wildlife.

Design: 8/20
As with most Browning cameras, the setup is straightforward, the screen is bright, and the buttons are illuminated and easy to read. The included strap is of good quality, but the green color is highly noticeable. The Full HD cameras do not offer a locking option. Therefore, a security box should be considered for those scouting on public land. Unfortunately, the current sub-micro security boxes were designed for much larger predecessors, and the current models will not fit in correctly.
Verdict: 48/100
Alternatives:
The Patriot or the DCL models are probably better choices if you are sold on the Browning brand. Otherwise, many other game cameras on the market, well under $100, will perform better.
