Camera Ratings
Detection Range: 16/20
Speed: 9/10
Accuracy: 0/10
We have experienced an unusually high number of false triggers. While most of the Browning cameras we have in the field are prone to false triggers during the warmer months, this unit has been misfiring even in the winter. As a result, we sent this unit to Browning for a replacement, but to our surprise, the camera was returned to us as, based on their evaluation, "everything is in good working order."Battery Life: 3/10
Due to the extremely sensitive and inaccurate trigger, the battery life is below average.
Daylight Images: 5/10
Lowlight Images: 4/10
Like daytime and nighttime images, the lowlight videos from the Browning Spec Ops Edge camera are grainy and out of focus.
Night Images: 3/10
Nightime images are very dark, extremely grainy, and out of focus.
Design: 5/20
Verdict: 45/100
Our unit was taking thousands of false-trigger pictures and videos regardless of settings. Although clearly not working correctly, the Browning Trail Cameras warranty department returned the camera to us as "in good working order."
We have reached back to Browning, but even after we provided their representative with additional samples and proofs, they would not admit the camera was flawed.
Instead, they stood by their "in-house" lab testing conducted in a controlled environment.
Hey Browning, it is fantastic that the cam perhaps works OK in your lab, but we purchased this camera to use it outside.
We paid top dollar for a quality product from a reputable company, but sadly, we got neither.
In the end, the Browning rep offered to replace the camera not because it was a faulty unit but as a "courtesy."
As it was apparent the Browning rep only provided the "courtesy" because she was aware that we run this website, we politely declined.
Ultimately, providing unbiased reviews and sharing authentic experiences is more important and satisfying than a defective trail cam replacement.

Very happy with the daytime and low light picture quality. I also like the narrow focus 36 degree pictures. They provide up close quality pictures you don’t have to zoom in to.

Awful reliability. All my Edges have failed. All my Advantages are still going strong. Browning Customer Services waste of time. Check out my review of the Browning Patriot. Like going to a doctor and the doctor's receptionist giving you a diagnosis.
